Welcome!
I am an educator committed to promoting nature based approaches to teaching and learning. Music, movement, storytelling, gardening with children, and Social-Emotional Learning are primary methods and activities that I incorporate into my teaching, learning, and living practices. I hope that you can benefit from my many years of experience. I want to share the joy of nature connection.

My website is primarily designed for parents and teachers with a few pages for kids as well. Please, read my Mission and Vision section for more information.

I am available for educational consulting and to lead workshops for educators and parents. I also teach ukulele to beginners and advanced beginners locally. Please, contact me for more information.

Please, visit my new YouTube channel. I will be adding videos of children's music/songs. Here are two samples.
The song "A LITTLE GARDEN SEED" is a favorite song for young children to dramatize. I am playing my ukulele while singing with Kindergartners, spring, 2021.
A LITTLE GARDEN SEED (author unknown)
A little garden seed is planted in its bed.
A warm yellow sun is shining overhead.
Down came the raindrops dancing to and fro.
The little seed awakens and then it starts to grow (and grow, and grow).
O, EARTH BEAUTIFUL
(by Stephen Longfellow Fiske)
O, Earth beautiful,
O, Earth beautiful,
We walk on your land.
We breathe your fresh air.
We drink your sweet water.
We hold you in our hands.
We hold you in our hands.

STANDING LIKE A TREE
(This is a song.)
I'm standing like a tree with my roots dug down,
My branches wide and open.
Come down the rain.
Come down the sun.
Come down the fruit of the heart
That is open to be standing like a tree....
(Repeat from the beginning)

This sunflower grew in the garden at school.
Notice the pollen on the leaf.

SUNFLOWER
(This is a poem and a song.)
Sunflower, sunflower, yellow and round,
You are so pretty, a flower I found.
Tall, straight, full of grace,
I love to look in your bright yellow face.
