BUTTERFLY
Come, bright butterfly, close to me,
Your beautiful wings I would like to see.
You fly like a bird.
You sip like a bee,
But you're really a flower the wind set free.

IN THE HEART OF A SEED
In the heart of a seed buried deep so deep
A little plant lay fast asleep.
“Wake,” said the sun, “And creep to the light.”
“Wake,” said the voice of the raindrops bright.
The little plant heard and rose to see
What the wonderful outside world could be.

THE SQUIRREL
Whisky, frisky, hippity hop,
Up he scampers to the top.
Whirly, twirly, round and round,
Down he scampers to the ground.
Where is his lunch? It’s in a shell.
Snappity, crackity, out it fell.

CHANGE OF SEASONS

WINTER GOOD BYE (This is also a song.)
Winter good bye, Blue is the sky.
You have been jolly fun, But now your stay is done.
Blue is the sky, Winter good bye.

SPRINGTIME GOOD BYE
Springtime good bye, Springtime good bye,
You may no longer stay, summer is on its way.
Springtime good bye, Springtime, good bye.
(Other seasons can be substituted.)

BEESWAX POEM
Squeeze and warm, squeeze and warm,
So that I can make my form.
Thank you, sun, and thank you, bees,
I’ll think of you each time I squeeze.
Wax, wax, soft become,
I will warm you like the sun.
Out of you I’ll bring each form,
That is waiting to be born.

GOOD MORNING (This is also a song.)
Good morning, dear Earth. Good morning, dear Sun.
Good morning, dear stones and the flowers everyone.
Good morning, dear animals and the birds and the trees.
Good morning to you and good morning to me.

MORNING IS COME (This is also a song.)
Morning is come. Night is away.
We rise with the sun and welcome the day.

THE ROOSTER SONG
Wake up the rooster’s crowing. It’s time to start the day.
Wake up, wake up, it’s time to start the day.
Koo-koo-ree-koo, koo-koo-ree-koo,
Hear the rooster crow.

WELCOME TO OUR CIRCLE
Welcome, welcome, welcome to our circle.
Welcome, welcome, we all join hands together.
